DescriptionA Quality Control Technician II is responsible for ensuring that products and services meet the established standards set by the company. Duties include maintaining strong overall quality control of products made by the company, adhering to reliability, performance, and customer expectations.
- Performs incoming inspections of raw materials, customer supplied raw materials, returned goods, and special components.
- Performs finished good inspections.
- Performs start-up and in-process inspections.
- Monitors specific areas of production as directed by the Quality Control Supervisor.
- Makes measurements and records data as per inspection forms or job cards.
- Performs testing and records data for statistical process control (SPC) during manufacturing, when required.
- Communicates with Quality Control Supervisor about any non-conforming products, out-of-control processes, or other concerns.
- Communicates with Manufacturing Engineers about test failures or other issues.
- Performs computer setup for label printing on cutting lines.
- Assists Engineering for experimental testing as needed.
- Enters finished goods inspection data into BMS as appropriate.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good documentation practices.
- Understanding of part workmanship.
- Ability to handle numerical data.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with micrometers, computers, testing equipment, and electronic balances.
- Experience with Excel is preferred.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet/humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles.
- Moderate noise levels.
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving arms, hands, and fingers.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, squat, and kneel.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
Pay: $22.00-$24.00/hour
