Position Overview:
As the Admissions Director, you will manage the entire admissions process, from initial inquiry to resident onboarding. You’ll be the key point of contact for families and referral sources, ensuring that the admissions process is efficient, compassionate, and aligned with regulatory guidelines.

Admissions Director Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of the admissions process, including responding to inquiries, conducting tours, and managing admission paperwork.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and the business office to ensure a smooth transition for residents.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations and requirements for long-term care admissions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare providers.
  • Provide information and guidance to families on the facility’s services, amenities, and the admissions process.
  • Track occupancy levels and admissions metrics, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to leadership.
  • Coordinate with the clinical team to assess new residents and determine appropriate care plans.

Admissions Director Qualifications:

  • Experience in admissions or healthcare marketing, preferably within a long-term care or nursing home setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to nursing home admissions.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and compassion.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
