Overview
Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Regional Logistics Manager (Manager, Logistics) to manage all Logistics activities of a 250,000 square foot Distribution Center in Jamesburg, NJ, with five direct reports including three supervisors, and 30 warehouse staff. The Regional Logistics Manager will manage the entire distribution center functional area and ensure quality, productivity, cost and service KPIs are continuously improved. This is an operational and project management role focused on meeting logistics objectives, mobilizing resources, developing staff and improving adherence to standard operating policies and procedures.
The DC manager supports strategic business initiatives and interacts regularly with other managers across the organization.
In this role you will have immediate responsibility for Canon distribution operations in Jamesburg, NJ. This position offers high potential growth to manage multiple locations in the near future and requires full-time presence at your assigned site(s).
What You’ll Do / Responsibilities- Lead the daily operations of the Distribution Center, including facility matters and warehouse personnel to ensure a highly functioning distribution center and system.
- Manage and analyze cost-efficient use of time, space, and movement within the DC.
- Collaborate with corporate headquarters to support monthly sales goals and ensure timely processing and shipment of sales orders to dealers and distributors.
- Manage operational relationships with Canon Transportation and Logistics third-party service providers.
- Oversee purchasing of all equipment and supplies for the Distribution Center.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, plus 7 years of related experience and management of typically two or more regular full-time employees (one exempt).
- Strong background in management with training in supervision, problem solving, and motivational skills.
- 5–7 years of distribution management experience with 2–3 years in planning and inventory control systems.
- Knowledge of freight transportation and shipping/receiving; excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead, coach, discipline and train a team; experience with Distribution Center safety training and programs is a plus.
- Experience with budget management/financials is a plus; basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and inventory control systems is a plus.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. All applicants will reside in the United States at the time of hire.
We are providing the anticipated salary range for this role: $77,180 - $115,580 annually.
