HEAVY MOBILE Equipment Mechanic Security Clearance

Position: HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC with Security Clearance
Location: McGuire AFB

Duties As an HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC, WG-5803-10, you will:
* Perform major repairs and maintenance on heavy mobile equipment and special purpose vehicles
* Diagnose the cause of mechanical failures by means of visual and auditory checks, test equipment
* Make adjustments and repair to front ends, suspensions and electrical systems
* Determine serviceability by operational driving test.
* Perform body repair and corrosion control, refinish and repaint surfaces as required.
* Clean, test and repair radiators/oil coolers and associated parts. Requirements Conditions of employment Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership.

* Using diagnostic equipment
* Applying independent judgment in determining methods and techniques required to solve unusually complex maintenance and repair problems
* Testing, inspecting, and evaluating the work performed on heavy mobile vehicles, equipment and systems Education There are no education requirements for this vacancy announcement Additional information Security Clearance Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance within 1(One) Year of appointment.
