Porter - Part Time

Responsible for cleaning the Bergen County Shelter. SHIFT:
Monday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Essential Functions Include:

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using specific cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Any other duties deemed necessary for the cleanliness of the building.
• REQUIREMENTS:
• One year of janitorial experience (preferred but not required).
• Ability to get to job site for required shifts.
