Job Title: Maintenance Worker
Facility: Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center
Location: Hazlet, New Jersey
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday with on-call rotation for weekend coverage
Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Worker to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. The Maintenance Worker will work closely with the Maintenance Director and assist in maintaining the facility’s building, grounds, and equipment.

• Work closely with and follow direction from the Maintenance Director
• Maintain the building and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
• Perform basic facility maintenance and repairs as assigned
• Properly care for and maintain tools and equipment
• Complete minor repairs on:
  • Handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings
  • Beds, wheelchairs, and Geri-chairs
  • Electrical equipment, generators, emergency lighting
  • Fire alarms, sprinklers, and extinguishers
  • HVAC systems (including filter changes)
• Assist with carrying, lifting, and stocking supplies
• Assume supervisor responsibilities in the absence of the Maintenance Director
• Ensure residents and families receive high-quality service in a caring and compassionate environment

• Nursing home experience preferred, but not required
• On-the-job training provided
• Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive feedback
• Ability to properly use and care for supplies and equipment
• Willingness to learn and incorporate new maintenance methods and practices
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including proper use of cleaning compounds
