Raritan Valley Community College is currently accepting resumes for a Part‑Time Custodian.

Under supervision of the Custodial Services Manager, the Custodian will perform custodial services for campus buildings and grounds, including general housekeeping.

• Perform a wide variety of routine cleaning duties in campus buildings and on campus grounds, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning, dusting, and general labor.
• Maintain restrooms, cleaning walls, sinks, fixtures, toilets, and mirrors; replenish towels, tissues, and soap dispensers.
• Notify Custodial Supervisor in writing of paper and cleaning product inventory in shortage.
• Report damage, leaks, lighting or equipment malfunctions in buildings or grounds to the Custodial Supervisor in writing.
• Empty interior and exterior trash receptacles; perform recycling duties as necessary; remove trash from parking lots and grounds; clean entrances and keep exterior windows clean.
• Assist staff with set‑ups of special events, furniture moves, and college activities.
• Clear snow and ice from entrance ways, walkways and steps; shovels or sweep areas; operate snow blowers and salt spreaders.
• Attend and complete training and safety meetings.

• 6 months – 1 year of previous custodial experience.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work any shift or day of the week; available to work inside and outside during inclement weather.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid New Jersey Driver’s License.
