We are seeking a skilled and experienced Paralegal to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success in serving our clients.

Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our Trusts & Estates practice. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in Trusts & Estates law, with a strong background in probate filings and drafting legal documents. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys in all aspects of estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters
  • Prepare and file probate documents, including petitions, inventories, accountings, and tax returns
  • Draft legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives
  • Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, and case law relevant to Trusts & Estates matters
  • Manage client communications and maintain client files, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurately recorded
  • Coordinate with financial institutions, government agencies, and other relevant parties to gather necessary information and documentation
  • Assist in the preparation of estate and gift tax returns
  • Manage deadlines and calendar important dates related to probate proceedings and trust administration
  • Prepare correspondence to clients, beneficiaries, and other involved parties
  • Organize and maintain digital and physical client files, ensuring compliance with firm policies and legal requirements
  • Assist in client meetings and provide support during the estate planning process
  • Perform asset valuations and prepare asset inventories for estates and trusts
  • Coordinate with other departments within the firm to ensure smooth case management
  • Stay current with changes in Trusts & Estates law and update firm templates and procedures accordingly
  • Mentor and train junior paralegals and support staff as needed
