Attorney – Employment Litigation Counsel
Join Chubb as an Attorney in the New Jersey House Counsel office of Kirmser, Cunningham & Skinner. The attorney will defend Chubb insured clients in a wide range of claims involving employment discrimination, housing discrimination, and directors’ and officers’ liability. Responsibilities include trial work, depositions, pre‑trial discovery, pleadings, motions, appellate briefing, mediation, settlement negotiation, agency work, position statements, appearances at hearings, compliance with Chubb litigation guidelines, and generation of reports and evaluations.
Qualifications- J.D. Degree from an accredited law school.
- New Jersey State Bar admission and admission to federal courts.
- Experience litigating before New Jersey state and federal courts and administrative agencies including EEOC and the New Jersey Division of Civil Rights.
- Extensive knowledge of current procedural and substantive law and federal, state, and administrative agency rules.
- Advanced oral and written advocacy skills and negotiation tactics.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills for evaluating complex legal liability and damages issues.
- Effective and strategic communication with clients and colleagues, with adherence to time‑sensitive reporting requirements.
- Excellent time management, organizational skill, and ability to work independently in a high‑volume environment.
- Proficiency in digital case management and communication technology.
- Writing sample required.
