IT Systems Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a dedicated IT Systems Engineer to join their dynamic team. As an IT Systems Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Digital Nexus technology organization, supporting innovative solutions and maintaining critical infrastructure. Job Title: IT Systems Engineer

Location: Montvale, NJ

• Support, enhance, and maintain Service Now Discovery and Service Mapping capabilities to ensure accurate infrastructure and application service population
• Host workshops and design sessions to clarify requirements for new technology components and optimize current Discovery settings
• Execute detailed technical configurations and scripting for Service Now ITOM, including discovery patterns, schedules, probes, and sensors
• Manage MID Servers, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize system performance
• Perform regular health checks and operational reviews to identify and resolve discrepancies in Service Maps and Discovery error trackers

• Minimum six years of proven experience with CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping Operations
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred)
• Deep functional and technical knowledge of data services, including integration with third-party sources such as SCCM, JAMF, Solarwinds, and familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with Identification & Reconciliation Engine (IRE), Service Graph Connectors, and MID Server management with troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Vulnerability Response principles and their integration with CMDB
