Position Overview

Support Federal Aviation Administration's Air Traffic Control systems by providing simulation and scenario expertise at the William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC). Support laboratory infrastructure and scenario development and testing for the EnRoute and Datacomm Programs. Work with close supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Work in applicable functional areas including computer systems hardware and/or software, real‑time design and development, testing and interface of software and computer hardware systems, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Perform technical tasks associated with the implementation of standards, techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Attend meetings, design reviews, and working groups.
  • Report issues/problems and recommend solutions.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Linux/UNIX experience; familiar with Unix/Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with software programming languages such as C, C++, Java, SQL.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to work occasional shift work to accommodate testing and field support tasks.
  • Willingness to travel.
