Internal Technology Recruiter — Job Description Role Overview
The Internal Technology Recruiter is responsible for identifying, engaging, and hiring top technical talent across the organization. This role partners closely with engineering, product, data, cybersecurity, and IT leadership to understand workforce needs, shape hiring strategies, and deliver a high quality candidate experience. The recruiter acts as a strategic advisor, ensuring hiring decisions align with business goals, team culture, and long term talent planning.
Key Responsibilities Talent Strategy & Workforce PlanningPartner with technology leaders to understand team structures, skill gaps, and upcoming hiring needs.
Develop targeted sourcing strategies for hard to fill technical roles, including software engineering, cloud infrastructure, data science, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
Provide market insights on talent availability, compensation trends, and competitive hiring activity.
Manage the end to end recruitment process, from intake meetings and job scoping to offer negotiation and onboarding handoff.
Write clear, compelling job descriptions tailored to technical audiences.
Screen and evaluate candidates for technical proficiency, problem solving ability, and cultural alignment.
Coordinate interview processes, ensuring consistency, fairness, and a positive candidate experience.
Build and maintain pipelines of qualified technical candidates through proactive sourcing, networking, referrals, and talent communities.
Leverage tools such as Linked In Recruiter, Git Hub, Stack Overflow, and internal databases to identify high potential talent.
Maintain relationships with past candidates for future opportunities.
Advise hiring managers on interview best practices, assessment methods, and decision making frameworks.
Ensure timely communication and transparency with candidates throughout the process.
Collaborate with HR partners on compensation, internal mobility, and workforce planning.
Track recruiting metrics (time to fill, pipeline health, conversion rates) and share insights with leadership.
Ensure compliance with hiring policies, equal employment regulations, and data privacy standards.
Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and diversity outcomes.
Experience recruiting for technical roles in software engineering, IT, data, or related fields.
Strong understanding of technical skill sets, development methodologies, and modern technology stacks.
Ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders and technical stakeholders.
Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Experience in an internal or corporate recruiting environment.
Familiarity with competency based interviewing and structured assessment methods.
Knowledge of diversity recruiting strategies and inclusive hiring practices.
Ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast paced environment.
