Responsibilities
  • Special Projects / Process Improvements: create functional design specifications and test scripts for special projects / process improvements. Identify issues, analyze data from multiple sources, and recommend process and customer service improvements, innovative solutions, or variations from established policy. Assess and decide based on available facts, constraints, and probable consequences. Allocate approximately 50% of time to these activities.
  • People Soft: ensure data integrity of the People Soft system. Provide support including auditing system data, managing setup tables and security, running Payroll interface, researching and resolving problems, performing scheduled activities, and recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements. Train new system users.
  • System administration for performance management module: answer user inquiries about system functionality, route forms, prepare data uploads, audit user proxy access, set up new hires, and issue communications in the system. Allocate approximately 15% of time to this area.
  • Ad Hoc Reports / Government Reporting: handle ad hoc report requests from HR Business Partners, Legal Department and other line managers. Independently prepare filings for mandatory government reports (e.g., EEO-1, VETS 100A, Affirmative Action). Review reports with senior management and respond to questions regarding the data.
Qualifications
  • Requirement: Bachelor’s degree required with a concentration in Human Resources or Information Technology preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years experience using People Soft or a comparable HR information system.
  • Expert with Microsoft Excel formulas, V-Lookups, and use of multiple spreadsheets.
  • Ability to use reporting tools for line management.
  • In depth knowledge of People Soft HCM/HR module.
  • People Soft data entry experience.
  • User Acceptance Testing for various development projects around People Soft.
  • Write Functional Requirements and UAT Scripts (User Acceptance Test Scripts).
  • Provide adhoc queries through People Soft.
  • Run the dedcalc process for the Payroll Interface.
  • Work closely with ESIS and HR members.
  • Support and assist with other systems as needed.
