Resident Experience Coordinator (Part-Time)

The Resident Experience Coordinator

Is responsible for all resident activities of a managed community: coordinating internal and external activities, creating a monthly activity calendar, arranging entertainment, assessing preferences, guiding programs to meet resident needs, and communicating with the management company on all appropriate matters.

Essential Functions
  • Assess resident interest and activity needs at move‑in and ongoing by completing the Resident Interest Worksheet and meeting with all new residents within 7 days of move‑in. Orient residents to the activity program and how to access activities.
  • Coordinate and carry out resident activities daily within budget limitations. Develop a calendar of events before the month begins to stimulate residents intellectually, physically, spiritually, and socially. Promote activities to improve participation. Follow schedule with minimal change and cancellation. Arrange entertainment within budget to bring enjoyment. Comply with spending budget for supplies and entertainment.
  • On a quarterly basis hold an event that may serve as a marketing effort. These events also provide marketing opportunities for entertaining residents. Work with the Community Relations Director and other management staff to organize events including planning, advertising, set‑up, and clean‑up.
  • Provide and staff transportation for resident activities and other needs. Resident outings are scheduled on the monthly calendar and include site‑seeing trips, destination locations, and medical trip transport. Coordinate any activity outings and medical visit transport with the assisted living community.
  • Ensure employees work safely and that unsafe actions are managed. Comply with Safety Committee Standard. When workplace injuries occur, assist the Executive Director with investigation, return‑to‑work, and management of injured workers, communicating with care providers and the management company.
  • Foster teamwork, show initiative in overcoming obstacles, take actions that assist others beyond job responsibilities, and positively impact co‑workers, residents, and visitors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
  • Education and Experience
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Associate or Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred in Social Service, Business, or a related field.
    • Proven management experience and ability to manage staff.
    • Minimum of three years’ experience in assisted living preferred.
    • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
