Radiologic Technologist / CT Tech
Job Overview
Responsible for X-raying patient using radiologic equipment that produces radiographs (x-rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the Radiologist. Generates high-quality images of patients in order to assist with diagnosis and treatment. Prepares and maintains records and files as directed.
Principal Accountabilities- Perform and provide appropriate imaging and treatment processes in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines.
- Demonstrate knowledge of a variety of imaging equipment including setup, utilization, troubleshooting, and proper care and sanitization of all equipment.
- Obtain patient history, explain routine procedures, and address patient queries or concerns.
- Maintain all equipment for procedures, assess safety, physical, and physiological comfort of patient.
- Monitor need for procedure revisions and coordinate daily imaging procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required:
- Graduate of an Accredited Radiography School.
- NJ State Radiologic Technologist (RT) license.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a Health Care Facility Hospital System or relevant area.
- 0-3 years of experience as a Radiographer or relevant area.
