ặc About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our Revenue Dav ycle Management team. This full-time position plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for emergency medical services while providing exceptional support to patients.
Responsibilities- Review EMS patient care reports for billing accuracy and compliance.
- Submit claims to insurance carriers and other payers.
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims to ensure resolution.
- Answer patient phone calls and assist with billing inquiries.
- Adjudicate call balances and process necessary adjustments.
- Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring clear communication and support.
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional billing or healthcare coursework preferred).
- Experience in medical or EMS billing strongly desired.
- Knowledge of insurance processes and claim submission.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficiency with billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus and may qualify for higher pay.
- Hourly Rate: $19.00 – $23.00 (commensurate with experience; higher rate for Spanish-speaking candidates).
