Patient Financial Coordinator

Job Summary

IVIRMA is seeking a full-time Patient Financial Coordinator to join our growing Revenue Cycle team in Basking Ridge, NJ. The role involves managing all aspects of patient financial accounts, including explaining financial information, determining insurance coverage, and educating patients on their financial options, while ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.

$25.00/hr - $25.00/hr

• Conduct patient consultations to review obligations, answer questions related to financial policies, and set clear payment expectations.
• Document patient insurance benefits and update records in Intergy and Artemis.
• Provide patients with treatment cost estimates.
• Collect estimated liabilities from patients, allocate payments appropriately after clearance, and apply them to patient accounts.
• Run and compile weekly reconciliation reports to ensure all financial obligations are met.
• Make logical decisions regarding patient accounts to maintain quality performance and efficiency.
• Review accounts to identify outstanding balances, follow up with finance teams, patient insurance, and correspondence as needed.
• Respond to patient calls and correspondence regarding billing questions, policies, and claims submission.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Associate's degree or higher – preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with Electronic Health Record (EMR) systems – preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills, with the ability to convey information concisely and urgently.
• Ability to multitask and work independently, demonstrating good judgment.
• Capacity to work in a stressful environment while remaining persistent in overcoming obstacles.
