Surgical Technician

Overview

The Hunterdon Center for Surgery, affiliated with Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ is seeking a Surgical Technician to join our team. The Surgical Tech assumes responsibility for providing patient care in accordance with established AORN standards and guidelines.

• Utilizes technical skills as a first line direct patient care provider and is integral member of the intraoperative surgical team.
• Ensures compliance with all HCS policies and procedures.
• Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each surgeon’s specific needs and provides as needed.

• Education – High School Diploma Required.
• Graduate of an accredited OR Technician program preferred, with at least two (2) years O.R. experience.
• Must be highly motivated with leadership and strong surgical skills.
• Good communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Shows initiative and possesses good problem solving skills.
• Ability to use all surgical equipment (i.e., laser, bovie, video, etc.)
