We coordinate and implement the endoscopy maintenance and cleaning program for Peri-Operative Services and provide backup to Central Processing Department as needed.

• Maintains endoscopy equipment.
• Transfers equipment using proper body mechanics.
• Assists Central Processing Department as needed and performs the role of 7385 Central supply Technician as needed.
• Maintains performance improvement measures for endoscopy in Perioperative Department.
• Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care that is specific to those needs.
• Adheres to the standard identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies.
• Gets competency tool completed when learning a new modality.
• Adheres to policy and procedure for reprocessing scopes and the manufacturer's recommendations.
• Wears PPE including gown, gloves and mask.
• Leak testing.
• Manual cleaning.
• High level disinfection.
• Changing filters.
• Keeps logs up to date.
• Recognizes need to order cleaning supplies.
• Lets the charge nurse know of any problems with the reprocessing process.
• Calls equipment tech support as needed.
• Sends scopes out for repairs, when necessary.
• Aware of the potential for exposure to hazardous materials. Knows where to find the MSDS for such materials and takes precautions.

Minimum rate of $20.32 hourly. The posted rate is a reasonable good faith estimate and does not reflect the full value of our market‑competitive total rewards package.
