The Master Stylist is responsible for engaging with guests, consulting on their hair care needs, and recommending products and services. The Master Stylist delivers quality professional services with an emphasis on the guest’s total look. The role supports the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager through performance, people, and process focus.

• Perform hair services including hair design, haircuts, color, texture, hair treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup applications, and ear piercing.
• Meet or exceed sales goal of $1250 average weekly sales and productivity goals, contributing to store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrink.
• Perform product demonstrations to drive sales.
• Support in‑store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed regarding new industry trends, products, and services.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.

• Develop guest relationships through consultations and recommendations.
• Serve all guests promptly.
• Partner with skin therapists and the retail team for a total‑store experience.
• Establish peer and brand partner relationships.
• Share benefits of the loyalty program and app.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings.

• Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with all policies and standards.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Follow established service protocols.
• Use booking systems for return services and events.
• Communicate supply needs to the Experience Manager.
• Maintain store operational standards.
• Adhere to dress code.
• Follow loss prevention best practices.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.

• Cosmetology license.

• Previous relevant work experience required.

• Proficiency with latest salon techniques.
• Proficiency with equipment and chemicals.
• Proficiency in selling pro hair care and makeup products.
• Developed communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and build clientele.

• Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Continuous mobility during shift.
• Continuous lifting and/or moving up to 10 lb. during shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting during shift.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time during shift.
• Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during shift.

The pay range for this position is the higher of $15.92—$20.20 per hour or services pay. Exact pay will be based on factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, shift, geographic location, and business needs. Eligible associates may also earn overtime pay and tips paid by service guests.
