Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations and reporting processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to managing financial tasks.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the monthly closing process by distributing the closing calendar, tracking progress, and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.

- Review and approve journal entries, bank reconciliations, and account analysis schedules to maintain accurate financial records.

- Reconcile monthly investment activities to ensure data integrity and financial accuracy.

- Perform expense reviews and adjustments in alignment with the established closing calendar.

- Prepare comprehensive monthly financial statements along with supporting schedules for management review.

- Collaborate with external auditors by providing requested documentation and information during audit processes.

Requirements - Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures.

- Proficiency in managing General Ledger activities and ensuring accurate account balances.

- Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including reconciliations and reporting.

- Ability to prepare and post journal entries with a high degree of accuracy.

- Expertise in performing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

- Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage multiple financial tasks effectively.
