Tax Preparer

Description

We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team on a long-term contract basis. Based in Moorestown, New Jersey, this role involves assisting clients with individual tax filings and ensuring compliance with current tax regulations. The position offers flexibility, accommodating both part-time and ongoing schedules.

* Responsibilities:

- Prepare individual tax returns with accuracy and attention to detail.

- Analyze financial data to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.

- Utilize tax preparation software to streamline filing processes.

- Provide guidance and support to clients regarding their tax-related inquiries.

- Review and verify documentation submitted by clients.

- Stay updated on changes in tax policies and procedures.

- Coordinate with clients to gather necessary financial information.

- Address discrepancies and resolve issues related to tax filings.

- Maintain confidentiality and security of all client information.

Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation.

- Proficiency in individual tax return preparation.

- Familiarity with CCH Sales Tax software or similar platforms.

- Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.

- Capability to work independently and meet deadlines.
