Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reconciliations, and supporting month-end close processes. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to maintaining strong fiscal oversight.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage month-end close activities, including journal entries and account analysis.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records.
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting processes.
- Provide detailed reports and analysis to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.
- Identify opportunities for improving efficiency in accounting operations. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in month-end close procedures and general ledger management.
- Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliation.
- Experience in performing bank reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
