We're seeking a strategic Controller to join our growing retail technology company as a key member of our finance leadership team. As we scale toward our next phase of growth—including planned acquisitions and a complete financial systems transformation—you'll play a critical role in building the financial infrastructure and analytical capabilities that will drive our success.

This is a high-impact position where your time will be focused on strategic initiatives including financial modeling, M&A integration, and systems implementation, while ensuring operational excellence across our accounting and administrative operations.

• Strategic Finance & Analysis:
  Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support data-driven decision-making across the organization
• Build and maintain sophisticated financial models for business performance analysis, scenario planning, and strategic initiatives
• Develop financial analytics capabilities to provide actionable insights to executive leadership and department heads
• Lead financial due diligence and integration planning for acquisitions. Partner with the CFO on strategic initiatives, capital allocation decisions, and long-term financial planning
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations on pricing strategy, product profitability, and customer economics
• Present monthly financial reports and quarterly performance analysis to executive leadership, lead ad hoc reporting aligned to planning cycles and business needs

• Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of a new system to replace homegrown accounting tools
• Drive the integration of a new billing and invoicing platform across the organization
• Design and implement scalable financial processes and controls to support company growth
• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements across the finance function
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to executive leadership
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Manage relationships with external auditors and other financial partners

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3-5 years in a Controller or senior finance leadership role
• Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting expertise
• Experience leading financial systems implementations (ERP, billing systems, etc.)
• Experience managing and developing finance teams
• Deep understanding of SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, CAC, LTV) and revenue recognition (ASC 606).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting requirements
• Advanced Excel skills and financial analysis capabilities
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate financial data into strategic insights
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• CPA or CMA certification
• M&A experience, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration
• Experience in the technology or SaaS industry
• Background working with companies in the $50M-$100M revenue range
• Experience transitioning financial platforms
• Retail or POS/ERP software industry knowledge
