Position SummaryIn this role, you will collaborate with the Regulatory Team in interpreting global regulations, assist internal and external stakeholders with regulatory compliance, and support new product development and evaluation. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing regulatory documents (Safety Data Sheets and Product Labels) and ensuring product safety and regulatory compliance for paints and coatings in North America. Additional responsibilities may include monitoring changes to regulatory requirements, such as VOC regulations for the US and Canada, and sharing information with team members.
The candidate will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide a regulatory perspective for ongoing and upcoming initiatives within the organization and represent Benjamin Moore in industry groups (ACA).
- Strong knowledge of Global Harmonized System (GHS)
- Knowledge of domestic and international chemical regulatory compliance
- Experience in SDS & Label generation
- Hands‑on experience with regulatory compliance software
- Working knowledge of Transport Classification Regulations (US and Canada) is desirable
- Bachelor's degree in Science in Chemistry, Biology, Occupational or Public Health and Safety, Toxicology, Environmental Science, or a related field is required
- 3+ years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, Product Safety, Product Compliance, or EHS
- Knowledge of paint or chemical processing is desirable
- Ability to adapt to a fast‑changing regulatory environment
- Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in typical Office software
