Field Services Engineer

A growing medical device manufacturer is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to install, repair, and support specialized bioprocessing and diagnostic equipment used by major pharma and biotech companies. This position combines hands‑on mechanical/electrical troubleshooting with customer‑facing service at global client sites. When not traveling, work is performed onsite at the West Caldwell, NJ facility.

• Install, service, repair, and troubleshoot complex equipment at customer locations
• Read/interpret electrical schematics and mechanical assembly drawings
• Diagnose electrical/mechanical issues using voltage, current, and continuity measurements
• Perform field wiring for motors, pumps, valves, and sensors
• Interface with PLC/HMI systems during setup and configuration
• Conduct root cause analysis and document corrective actions
• Support clean room environments and follow GMP/PPE requirements

• 7–10 years of field service, maintenance, or engineering experience
• Strong mechanical + electrical troubleshooting ability
• Experience working with equipment in pharma/biotech settings
• Ability to read schematics and perform wiring diagnostics
• Valid passport or ability to obtain one; international travel required
• Ability to work onsite in West Caldwell when not traveling
• Basic computer proficiency

• Experience with bioprocessing or vaccine manufacturing equipment
• Familiarity with GMP documentation
• Background with centrifugation or diagnostic instrumentation
