Our client is a leading aerospace company committed to innovation, safety, and excellence in engineering. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced STPA Engineer to join our dynamic team. If you have a background in System-Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA) and a passion for ensuring safety in aerospace systems, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

* Apply System-Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA) methodology to analyze complex aerospace systems, identifying potential hazards and risks.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess system safety, considering technical, human, and environmental factors.

* Develop and implement safety strategies, including hazard mitigations and risk reduction measures, to enhance the safety of aerospace systems.

* Conduct thorough analyses of system failures, incident reports, and safety-related data to inform safety assessments and improvements.

* Experience in integrating STPA with SysML is great to have.

* Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to safety engineering and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

* Proven experience in applying System-Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA) methodology to safety-critical systems, preferably in the aerospace industry.

* Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.

* Familiarity with aerospace systems, avionics, and software development processes.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in identifying potential hazards and risks.

* Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and provide leadership in safety engineering efforts.
