Overview
Junior Electrical Engineer — New Jersey. Local candidates preferred / US Citizen or Green Card holders ONLY.
Our client is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to join their high-voltage power supply design team located in New Jersey. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong foundation in electrical engineering and a mechanical aptitude. The successful candidate will assist in the design, testing, and documentation of high-voltage power supply products, while learning legacy MRP systems and supporting project execution.

- Collaborate with senior engineers on the design and development of high-voltage power supplies.
- Assist in building and testing prototypes, including electrical and mechanical components.
- Perform electrical measurements, troubleshooting, and validation testing using standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, LCR meters, HV meters).
- Support project documentation, including test plans, reports, and compliance records.
- Learn and utilize legacy MRP systems for project tracking and inventory management.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality requirements throughout the design and testing process.
- Work independently on assigned tasks while contributing effectively to team projects.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. - Experience:
1–3 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering; high-voltage experience preferred. - Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools and small power tools.
- Familiarity with standard electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, HV meters).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Willingness to learn legacy systems and adapt to evolving processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Project documentation experience preferred.
