Duties, Responsibilities & Other

We are seeking to grow our construction engineering team in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. You will be joining our aspirational and enthusiastic team in providing our clients with high quality and complex engineering solutions. We define construction engineering as design consulting services across many aspects of project delivery ranging from construction logistics planning, demolition and shoring design, means and methods, crane and hoist design, steel connections, and site observations.

The right candidate will have a background in structural engineering design, with the aptitude of working with contractors on projects that are in the construction phase.

Responsibilities
  • Perform structural engineering analysis and design of temporary and permanent works.
  • Complete structural analysis of permanent structures during the construction phase.
  • Develop and assess construction sequence proposals.
  • Producing sketches to communicate the design to our clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of project deliverables, including reports, permit applications, drawings and specifications, cost estimates, field data collection, shop drawing review, calculations, material testing and BIM/CADD work.
  • Perform basic survey work and observe construction activities.
  • Review input from Project or Technical Managers and make the necessary adjustments and corrections to work product.
  • Perform work in a timely and effective manner within assigned schedules and budgets.
Qualifications

Education and/or

Skills Required:

  • 0-2 Years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑Accredited Program
  • General knowledge of required design software (Micro Station, AutoCAD, Revit)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good communication and technical writing skills.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to think critically.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous internships or work experience in the Engineering field.
Required Certifications and Licenses
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to maintain required certifications
Preferred Certifications and Licenses
  • Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification
