FPA is currently searching for a full-time Mechanical Engineer for our Wall Township, New Jersey office
. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 10 years’ experience designing and specifying building HVAC and plumbing systems, preferably in the commercial and education sectors.

- Design HVAC systems including load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork and piping layout, and control strategies.
- Prepare detailed mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Perform energy modeling, life cycle cost analysis, and code compliance evaluations when needed.
- Coordinate HVAC designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.
- Conduct site visits for field investigations, construction administration, and commissioning support.
- Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and assist in resolving construction issues.
- Collaborate with clients, team members, and consultants to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Support proposal preparation and participate in client meetings as appropriate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- EIT or PE License in NJ or NY (highly preferred)
- 3 to 10 years of HVAC design experience in a consulting engineering environment.
- Proficiency with HVAC design software such as Carrier HAP, Trane Trace, or similar.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit required.
- Familiarity with applicable building codes, ASHRAE standards, and energy codes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
