Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our integrated team of design professionals. The ideal candidate should be a licensed architect or on track to becoming one, with a minimum of 4+ years of experience. This role involves collaboration with Project Managers across NJ and NY offices, working on a diverse range of projects spanning NY, NJ, and PA.

Responsibilities

* Apply sound architectural and design techniques, methodologies, and principles to all work products.

* Complete construction drawings using Revit.

* Demonstrate clear competency in preparing all phases of documentation.

* Generate finished plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction.

* Assist with scheduling, budgeting, and overseeing work assignments of each project team.

* Liaise with external consultants and engineers, incorporating engineering specifications with architectural design.

* Multi-task by working on a range of projects from new buildings to renovations and alterations.

* Develop programming documentation and preliminary designs as needed.

* Attend pre-proposal meetings and provide input into the scope of work and services for new proposals.

* Collaborate and work closely with others as a self-motivated and energetic leader.

Essential Skills

* Must be able to produce construction drawings.

* 100% proficient using Revit.

* Experience in either healthcare, institutional, educational, or large-scale commercial projects.

* Proficient with NJ & NY state and federal healthcare code compliance guidelines.

* Ability to manage technical aspects of projects from inception through completion.

* Experience with in all phases of projects from concept through construction administration.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

* Licensed Architect or on track to becoming licensed.

* 4-12 years of architectural experience, preferably with experience in K-12 projects for SDA.

* Ability to put together full sets of construction document sets for complex projects.

* Full understanding of how buildings come together, including details, floor plans, elevations, sections, etc.

* Architectural Degree required.

Work Environment

The firm is located in a modern office setting in Morristown, with about 90 employees across Morristown and NYC offices. It is known for its focus on healthcare and institutional work, including K-12 and higher education projects. The work environment is highly collaborative, offering a hybrid opportunity with 3 days remote and 2 days in-office, emphasizing a family-oriented culture with a strong work-life balance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockaway, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $57.69/hr.
