Job Description WHAT WE'RE DOING

Cost Estimator - Product - will lead the development of accurate and comprehensive material cost estimates for proposals, ensuring compliance with customer Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements and internal company policies. This role will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather necessary information, prepare detailed material cost volume exhibits, and support audits and negotiations.

THE WORK

• Material Cost Estimating:
  Developing accurate material cost estimates in accordance with customer RFP requirements and internal policies.
• Creation of Material Cost Volume Exhibits:
  Preparing detailed material cost volume exhibits for proposals, including cost breakdowns and justifications.
• Coordination with Capture Team:
  Collaborating with Sourcing, Program Management, Operations, Engineering, and Finance to gather necessary information and ensure comprehensive estimates.
• Supporting Audits and Negotiations:
  Assisting during customer and DCAA audits/fact‑finding missions.
• Providing detailed cost data and justifications during negotiations.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.
