The ProjectMace, as part of the MPA delivery partner joint venture of Mace‑Parsons‑Arcadis, has been selected as the Gateway Development Commissions partner of choice to support the GDC across the Gateway Program in New Jersey, inclusive of the Hudson Tunnel Project.
The busiest rail connection between New York, New Jersey, and the Northeast Corridor, the Hudson Tunnel Project will improve capacity, reliability, and resiliency of commuter and intercity rail transit serving 800,000 daily passengers from Washington, D.C. to New York and New England. A milestone project supported by the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), the project is slated to receive nearly $12 billion in federal funding, the largest investment in a mass transit project in modern history.

- Handling planning, scheduling, coordination, monitoring, and managing all phases of new construction.
- Managing financial aspects of construction, including construction documentation such as fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, to protect company interests and maintain good relationships with clients.
- Executing project delivery from initial design throughout the construction phase.
- Reviewing amplified drawings for changes and clarifications.
- Performing project status reviews by monitoring project schedule, submittal/RFI logs and open items.
- Maintaining effective client communication throughout the preconstruction phase, including meeting agendas and minutes.
- Reporting directly to the principal with updates.
- Assisting the estimating team with quantity take‑offs, scopes of work, and bidding processes.
- Collaborating across disciplines (design, preconstruction, and construction).
- A degree qualification or equivalent in an appropriate civil engineering or project management discipline.
- Experience in an engineering office environment.
- Experience in preparing, typing and editing reports, contract specifications (under an engineer’s supervision).
- An additional degree in civil engineering or construction management.
- Knowledge of the engineering, procurement and construction cycle and an understanding of construction sequencing, materials, and methods.
- Responsiveness to changing demands.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Tunneling experience.
- Experience in Federal Transit Agency projects.
- Familiarity with transit agencies such as PANYNJ, NJT, MTA, LIRR, Amtrak.
- Experience delivering programs or portfolios of significant value exceeding $1 billion is a significant advantage.
The estimated starting salary for this position is $140,000 – $180,000. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non‑discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
