AS9145 Quality Engineer
Join Kearfott Corporation, a global Aerospace and Defense supplier, to contribute to our legacy of precision motion control and inertial navigation components. We are seeking a highly skilled quality engineer to spearhead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) initiatives for the AS9145 Standard.
OverviewThe AS9145 Quality Engineer will lead the APQP and PPAP processes within the organization, driving process and product improvement across departments. The ideal candidate is a technical expert with a deep understanding of AS9145 in Aerospace or Automotive industries.
Essential Functions- Serve as a model of critical roles and responsibilities within the Quality Department and mentor team members.
- Act as an AS9145 mentor/coach for various projects within the Organization.
- Provide subject matter expertise on AS9145, guiding deployment, implementation, and project execution.
- Develop roadmaps and program plans that integrate AS9145 requirements into policies and procedures.
- Define key characteristics of product performance and report regularly.
- Perform root cause analysis of production failures.
- Collaborate across functions to implement AS9145 on multiple projects.
- 5+ years hands‑on experience with AS9145 in Automotive or Aerospace industries.
- Familiarity with AS9100, AS9102, and related quality requirements.
- Capable of working independently and providing technical and operational leadership within a cross‑functional team.
- Detail‑oriented with a background in process development and improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline; master’s preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills; experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Demonstrated excellence working with ERP systems.
- Previous experience in an Automotive or Aerospace environment preferred.
- Previous experience working in ISO
9001/AS9100 certified manufacturing facilities required. - Must be a US Citizen.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey is $108,000 - $127,000 Annually.
