Position OverviewThe Department of Communication, Journalism and Media at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor for the Spring 2026 semester beginning Monday, January 26, 2026 for the following position:
COM 241 Managing Conflict Through CommunicationExplores the dynamics of interpersonal conflict and the critical role of communication in managing and resolving disputes in platonic, romantic, and professional relationships. Students will examine key theories of interpersonal conflict, develop an understanding of various conflict styles, and learn effective communication strategies for navigating and resolving the inevitable conflicts in various personal and professional contexts.
This course will be delivered in an online format.
Salary$4,215.98 for a 3 credit course.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience- M.A. or higher in Communication Studies or related field.
- Experience in teaching at the college level.
- Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.
- Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Communication Studies or related field.
