Job Description

Raritan Valley Community College has an anticipated opening for an Adjunct Instructor for Physics. As an Adjunct Instructor you will introduce the fundamental theories and laws of a first-semester algebra-based physics course. Topics include measurement and estimation, kinematics and dynamics of particles and rigid bodies, Newton's Laws, work, energy and momentum, rotational motion, gravitation, equilibrium and elasticity, fluids, temperature and kinetic theory, heat and the laws of thermodynamics.

Responsibilities
  • Teach a first-semester algebra-based physics course and convey fundamental theories and laws.
  • Cover topics including measurement and estimation, kinematics and dynamics, Newton's Laws, work and energy, momentum, rotational motion, gravitation, equilibrium and elasticity, fluids, temperature and kinetic theory, and thermodynamics.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Physics or related field required; preferably Mathematics or Engineering.
  • 2 years teaching experience; college level preferred.
  • Positions are located on the Main RVCC Campus unless otherwise noted.
