Leave of Absence (LOA) Elementary Instrumental Band Teacher

Location:

MTES, Mansfield Township School District, Columbus, NJ

• Teach small group and full ensemble band lessons for students in grades 4–6.
• Prepare students for scheduled concerts and performances.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Create a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and participation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
• Creating, filming, and editing morning announcements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Valid NJ Instructional Certificate and Elementary Education Endorsement (Music) or eligibility.
• Required criminal history check and proof of US citizenship or resident alien status.

MTES Principals

To provide an approved elementary music education band program and establish a class environment that fosters learning and personal growth.

Position to begin on or around March 30, 2026. Mansfield Township Education Association contract applies.

As per Board of Education current MTEA Agreement:

• Day 1-9 $ 145
• Day 10-20 $ 155
• Day 21+ $1/200 Step 1 of the Teachers Guide
