Part‑time traveling art teacher serving community spaces across Bergen, Essex, and Union counties.
$25.00/hr – $40.00/hr
Job OverviewOne River School of Art + Design is a multimillion‑dollar arts education company with 14+ schools across six states. We provide proprietary curriculum and materials, and we now bring our programs to libraries, community centers, after‑school programs, retirement communities, camps, and more.
Responsibilities- Facilitate art lessons at off‑site community locations (libraries, community centers, after‑school programs, retirement communities, camps, etc.).
- Teach weekly sessions ranging from 4 to 12 weeks.
- Set up and clean up art lessons at each location.
- Engage students and create an engaging, inclusive learning experience.
- Offer differentiated instruction to a variety of students.
- Provide thoughtful feedback and behavior management to student groups.
- 2+ years of experience teaching art or digital design classes.
- BFA or BS in Art Education or related field.
- Thoughtful communication skills and a passion for One River School’s mission.
- Reliable means of transportation to travel to multiple locations and punctuality.
- Ability to connect with students of all ages from Pre‑K through adult learners.
MUST have reliable means of transportation to reach each location punctually, and be prepared to travel across Bergen, Essex, and Union counties as needed.
