  • Collaborate with the Health and Safety team on specialized support as needed.
Project Site Planning, Scheduling & Utilization
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager on the overall project schedule; prepare and update detailed and accurate 3‑day and 3‑week look‑ahead schedules.
  • Direct the effective utilization of labor, equipment, and materials; ensuring alignment with project plans and production goals; monitor work to minimize idle time, prevent bottlenecks, and reduce waste.
  • Detect resource shortfalls or schedule risks early; elevate to the General Superintendent, implement corrective measures, and notify the Project Manager of material impacts.
  • Develop contingency strategies for weather delays or unforeseen conditions, protecting schedule and budget.
Best Practice On‑Site Execution
  • Apply and enforce best practices for excavation, grading, drainage, shaping, irrigation, grassing, and finish work.
  • Provide hands‑on guidance for technical field challenges; escalates complex design or scope issues to the General Superintendent.
  • Lead daily site meetings and training to set production goals, quality expectations, and safety priorities.
  • Participate in preconstruction meetings to align field operations with project management.
  • Obtain utility mark‑outs (811 and private locates) before excavation; train crews on safe digging practices and enforce compliance.
  • Oversee equipment use; enforce safe operation and care; conduct inspections, report damage, and take corrective actions.
  • Track equipment usage, idle time, and mobilization to support planning; identify underutilized equipment for redeployment.
