Toddler Teacher

Overview

The Learning Experience – Ledgewood is hiring a Toddler Lead Teacher to guide and nurture children in our 2-year-old classroom. Our center offers a warm, structured, and play-based learning environment where children develop independence, curiosity, and foundational skills. We’re seeking an experienced childcare educator with a CDA credential (preferred) who is excited to lead a classroom and help shape children’s early learning experiences.

Location: The Learning Experience – Ledgewood, NJ

Pay: $17 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

• Lead a 2-year-old classroom and maintain a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment.
• Implement The Learning Experience’s L.E.A.P. Curriculum, supporting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Guide and mentor assistant teachers to maintain high classroom standards.
• Build strong relationships with families through daily communication and developmental updates.
• Support routines including potty training, transitions, meals, and rest time.
• Maintain compliance with NJ DCF licensing requirements and center policies.

Qualifications (Required):

• CDA credential (Child Development Associate) – preferred.
• At least 6 months of classroom experience with toddlers/preschoolers (1+ year preferred).
• Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
• CPR/First Aid preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Must meet all New Jersey childcare licensing standards.
