Position Summary:
The Strategy Program Management Team tracks and executes opportunities to drive growth and strategic initiatives for SJI. The team leads harmonization efforts across the enterprise for strategy execution. As a Senior Internal Business Strategy Consultant, you will develop and execute business strategies across the organization, collaborate with senior leadership, functional teams, and key stakeholders to drive transformative initiatives, improve operational efficiency, and identify growth opportunities.
This role requires strategic analysis, business modeling, and change management skills to enable high performance.
- Make data-driven recommendations to optimize business performance and strategy execution.
- Lead the development of business strategies that align with organizational goals and priorities.
- Advise business partners on decisions, market trends, competitive analysis, and performance improvement.
- Support the creation of strategic roadmaps for new ventures, operational changes, or expansion initiatives.
- Collaborate with departments (e.g., marketing, finance, operations, HR) to align strategies with departmental goals.
- Support cross-functional teams to ensure strategic initiatives are executed, overseeing execution in coordination with project teams and tracking milestones.
- Drive organizational change by leading and supporting strategic implementations.
- Provide training and support to teams to facilitate strategic changes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex information to senior executives clearly and concisely.
- Ability to influence and build relationships with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in business modeling, financial analysis, and project management tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, project management software).
- Project Management certifications preferred
Required Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field with 8 years of relevant experience, or;
- Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
- Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic consulting, business analysis, change management or related roles.

CompensationCompensation Range: $97,. We are committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation for all employees. The pay range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits, bonuses, or other components of total compensation. Specific salary offered will be based on a candidate’s qualifications, education, and experience.
