MRO

Buyer (m/f/d)

We are looking for a MRO Buyer for our U.S. subsidiary V-LINE USA (Varioline Spare Parts Services Inc.) in Wall Township, NJ.

Job Objectives:

  • Maintain relationships with our customers, suppliers and international locations through written and verbal exchanges.
  • Grow and maintain the customer base by securing orders by providing excellent customer service.
  • Build and develop customer relationships at different levels.
  • Work closely together across interfaces in a respectful manner.
  • Respond to all customer concerns in a timely manner.
  • Negotiate with confidence and make decisions.
  • Ensure the daily business runs smoothly.
  • Work towards reaching company goals.
  • Achieve and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Know the customer KPI’s and guarantee its achievement.
  • Resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Process international customer inquiries.
  • Track deadlines of supplier offers.
  • Review supplier offers technically and commercially.
  • Prepare price quotations to customers within given deadlines.
  • Clarify customer and supplier queries in a timely manner.
  • Follow-up on customer offers.
  • Review and process customer orders promptly.
  • Negotiate supplier quotations and orders within your value limits.
  • Place supplier orders in a timely manner.

Your Profile:

Hard
- Skills:

  • Substantial experience in a similar position (purchasing).
  • Proficient in standard usage of Outlook / Excel / Word.
  • Experience in SAP is a plus, but not necessarily required.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Speed and accuracy of data is essential.

Soft
- Skills:

  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Attention to detail and due diligence.
  • Reliability.
