General Description

Reporting to the Head of DS Manufacturing Cell Culture, this role plays a leading part in troubleshooting processes, building a detailed understanding of them, and driving process robustness to meet manufacturing timelines. The position involves consistent collaboration with Cell Culture MSAT, DS Manufacturing Purification, Facilities & Engineering, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory groups.

A strong understanding Joyce of mammalian cell culture processes and exposure to protein purification and product quality attributes is required, as is the ability to lead teams and develop clear performance reports.

Essential Functions
  • Lead, mentor, and develop staff to empower team members in line with their skills and experience.
  • Participate in cross‑functional project teams.
  • Ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Supervise and manage contract manufacturers on site as required کړئ.
Technical Skills / Knowledge
  • CIP & SIP of fixed stainless‑steel vessels and transfer lines.
  • Solution preparation and transfer.
  • Single‑use technologies (mixers & bioreactors).
  • Seed lab operations: passaging and scale‑up.
  • Bioreactor wave and shaker flask operations.
  • Bioreactor operations and harvest operations.
  • Sterile filtration / integrity testing.
  • Analytical instrumentation (pH, osmometer, etc.).
  • Good documentation practices.
  • Equipment and process troubleshooting.
  • Authoring SOPs, MBRs & WIs.
  • Delivering technical presentations

    Assistant.
  • Quality risk assessments.
  • Health‑authority interaction / audits.
  • Resource modeling.
  • OE and/or LEAN methodologies.
  • Distributed control system / control systems.
  • Depakket deviations, investigations & CAPA’s.
  • Prohepo SAP, LIMS, CMMS, Veeva.
Education / Experience Required
  • BA/BS or higher in science, biochemistry, biotechnology, biology, chemical engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in Life Science/Biotechnology.
  • Minimum 1+ year supervisory experience in biopharma industry.
  • Knowledge of GMP & GDP drug preclinical, clinical and commercial requirements.
  • Familiarity with EMA and FDA regulatory requirements.
  • Effective oral and written communication in a multi-disciplinary, project-driven environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Salary Range: $83,500.00 - $ annually.
