Sr. Accountant

Description

Robert Half is partnering with one of its clients in Monmouth County for a senior accountant opening. This role involves managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and supporting the organization's accounting needs. Located in Morganville, New Jersey, this position offers the opportunity to contribute to the financial health of a non-profit organization.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee month-end closing activities and ensure timely completion of all financial reports.

- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

- Prepare and post journal entries to document financial transactions.

- Reconcile accounts, including bank statements, to ensure consistency and accuracy.

- Monitor cash flow and implement measures to optimize expense control.

- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.

- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner.

- Collaborate with team members to improve and streamline accounting procedures.

- Provide financial insights and support to aid in organizational decision-making.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, preferably in a non-profit environment.

- Strong knowledge of month-end closing processes and general ledger maintenance.

- Ability to prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts with precision.

- Familiarity with bank reconciliation procedures.

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.

- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively within a team.
