Description

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to manage the financial operations of a business based in Parsippany, New Jersey. This role involves overseeing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, handling payroll, and managing certain personal finances for the business owner. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices and proficiency in Quick Books.

Responsibilities:

- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for the business, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance.

- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes, including timely payments and invoicing.

- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are properly documented.

- Manage payroll for a team of under 50 employees both exempt and non-exempt

- Assist with some personal financial needs for the owner

- Utilize Quick Books to maintain and organize financial data efficiently.

- Work onsite five days a week, with flexibility for personal scheduling needs.

- Report directly to the business owner while collaborating with external accountants to close the books.

Requirements - Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a similar role.

- Proficiency in Quick Books software for managing financial data.

- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.

- Familiarity with payroll management for both hourly and salaried employees.

- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalism.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Effective communication skills for interacting with the owner and external accountants.
