Our client is a well-established and local CPA Firm that is looking for a Tax Staff Accountant to join their team!
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$85k - $95k
Position Overview:
The Tax Staff Accountant will join an existing team to assist with tax season in early 2026. A focus in this role will be preparing personal and business tax returns for small business clients.
Responsibilities of the Tax Staff Accountant:
* The Tax Staff Accountant will prepare tax returns for various clients.
* Generate yearly tax projections.
* Analyze the balance sheet as well as the P&L.
* Monthly reconciliations.
* Journal entries to the general ledger.
Required Experience/Skills for the Tax Staff Accountant:
* 3+ years of prior public accounting/Staff Accountant experience.
* 3+ years of prior tax preparation experience.
Preferred Experience /Skills for the Tax Staff Accountant:
* CPA or Enrolled Agent Certification is a plus.
* Knowledge of Quick Books and Ultra-Tax is preferred.
Education Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
