Accounts Payable Associate

Summary

The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for accurately tracking what is owed to vendors, ensuring invoices and payments are approved and processed correctly.

• Route electronic invoices through automated AP system
• Verify approvals, general ledger codes, and post invoices to ERP system
• Impute use tax when necessary in AP software
• Investigate discrepancies between prices, quantities, invoices, and purchase orders
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate uncashed vendor payments
• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
• Monitor vendors for discount payment opportunities
• Participate in month‑end process: ensure accruals are proper and prepare appropriate journal entries

• 3+ years’ accounts payable experience
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with Medius and AS400 a plus
• Experience with 3‑way matching of purchases a plus
• Experience with annual 1099 filings a plus
• Detail‑oriented with a strong work ethic
• Eager to learn and highly motivated
