Accounting Specialist

Morey's Piers & Resorts is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Accounting Specialist.Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: executing the day-to-day accounting and processing and assisting with reporting for The Morey Organization and associated entities. This individual must provide consistent, friendly, and helpful service to internal and external partners.

The successful candidate must possess the following qualities:

• Good analytical skills.
• Acumen for identifying inefficiencies in current processes.
• Creativity and innovation in problem-solving.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Unquestioned ability to discreetly manage confidential and sensitive company information.

Additional preferred competencies include:

• Two plus (2+) years' experience in relevant accounting work.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Aptitude for learning new systems.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels of staff and management and all types of personalities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Productive with a high degree of accuracy.
• Consistency in follow-up and follow-through of tasks to completion.

This position is a full time, benefitted, year-round role based in our Wildwood, NJ office offering a competitive benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision, retirement, paid time off, and other perks. While primarily a Monday to Friday role (especially in our offseason), the potential to work some weekends or evenings to support business operations may be required at times.
