Overview
Accounts Receivable Specialist - Construction Industry Our client, a well-established construction firm, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their accounting team. This role plays a key part in managing the company's billing, collections, and project accounting processes while supporting overall financial operations.
Base pay range$42,000.00/yr - $50,000.00/yr

- Prepare and submit monthly AIA billing applications (G702/G703) to clients in a timely and accurate manner
- Coordinate and track the collection of subcontractor and vendor lien waivers
- Research and resolve any billing or payment discrepancies to ensure accuracy
- Monitor collections by following up on open invoices and maintaining current accounts receivable aging reports
- Review and reconcile project budgets and job cost reports for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain organized and up-to-date contract and change order documentation within the accounting system
- Assist with bank reconciliations
, quarter-end close activities, and the annual financial audit - Provide general accounting support and take on additional tasks as needed to contribute to team success
- 1-2 years of accounts receivable or construction accounting experience required
- Solid understanding of accounting principles specific to the construction industry
- Working knowledge of AIA billing, lien releases, and retention
- Experience with Computer Ease and Procore software is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the full Office Suite
- Exceptional attention to detail

Determining compensation for this role depends upon factors including skill sets, experience, training, location, and organizational needs. The salary range is disclosed where required by local law. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
