Fitter, Manufacturing Engineer

The New Iberia facility specializes in cold box assembly and fabrication, pressure vessels, and other cryogenic equipment used in the air separation and hydrocarbon industries. The end users include major LNG, petrochemical, and air separation companies worldwide. The facility is located at the Port of Iberia.

• Assist in developing and implementing shop standards and improvements
• Provide instruction on fitting techniques, proper tools, and procedures
• Assist in developing and presenting formatted training materials
• Work independently with fitters and welders to improve quality and solve problems
• Identify opportunities for technological improvements
• Make training recommendations to supervisors
• Follow up with production supervision on fitting deficiencies
• Identify fit-up issues rapidly and address them promptly
• Promote safety, honesty, and integrity
• Work at heights up to 75 ft
• Additional duties may be assigned

• Thorough knowledge of departmental operations
• Full support of safety procedures
• Thorough knowledge of shop standards
• Professional communication skills at all levels, maintaining calm and objectivity
• Self-motivated, creative, reliable, and able to work independently
• Good verbal communication skills, including small group presentations
• Computer skills with Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point
• Classification level of Fitter A1 required
